The Auditor's Office handles all financial aspects of the city, including Public Works, Police Department and Fire Department.



2020 Preliminary Budget
The Preliminary Budget of the City of Valley City, North Dakota for the calendar year ending December 31, 2020, has been completed and is on file in the City Auditor’s Office where it may be examined. The City Commission will hold a public hearing at 5:00 P.M., September 17, 2019, at City Hall in Valley City, North Dakota for the purpose of receiving comments from the citizens of Valley City. The final adoption of the budget and fixing the annual tax will be on October 1, 2019. This hearing is held for the opportunity of the citizens to participate with respect to city budgets. Any taxpayer may appear and discuss any item of expenditure or enter objections to any item or the amount therein.

2018 Special Assessment Uncertified Balances

This document contains the 2018 Special Assessment Uncertified Balances as of 12/13/2018. The balances are available by parcel number. You can lookup your parcel number on the North Dakota Property Tax Information Portal.

Special Assessments are identified by project codes. The first number of the project indicates the type of project (ie, 2 = Paving), the second number indicates the district number (ie, [Paving] Improvement District No. 110). Project codes are listed in the document.
