Public Input Meeting
WHY?
To discuss proposed improvements to Main St, Central Ave S and City Park in Valley City. The project consists of adding decorative lighting, benches, and trash receptacles throughout the project area; curb and gutter improvements along Main St and Central Ave S; installation of two traffic signals along Main St; and mill and overlay along Central Ave S.

This meeting is designed to allow for public input which is required for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1970, National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, and Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act of 1966.
Representatives from the NDDOT, City of Valley City, and KLJ will be on hand to answer your questions and discuss your concerns.
WRITTEN STATEMENTS or comments about this project must be sent by April 5, 2019, by mail to Chad Petersen, KLJ, 1010 4th Ave SW, Valley City, ND 58072, or by email to chad.petersen@kljeng.com with “Public Input Meeting” in the e-mail subject heading.
The NDDOT will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide:
- an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities,
- language interpretation for people with limited English proficiency (LEP), and
- translations of written material necessary to access NDDOT programs and information.
Appropriate provisions will be considered when the Department is notified at least 10 days prior to the meeting date or the date the written material translation is needed.

Public Works, City Hall and the Transfer Station will be closing at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, December 24 and remain closed on Wednesday, December 25.
- Public Works, City Hall & Transfer Station will be closed on Wednesday, January 1, 2020.
- Wednesday route will be picked up on Thursday, January 2.
- Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday, January 18.
- Public Works, City Hall & Transfer Station will be closed on Monday, January 20.
- Monday’s garbage will be picked up on Tuesday.
- Tuesday & Wednesday’s garbage will be picked up on Wednesday.
- Regular schedule resumes on Thursday.
- Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday, February 15.
- Public Works, City Hall & Transfer Station will be closed on Monday, February 17.
- Monday’s garbage will be picked up on Tuesday.
- Tuesday & Wednesday’s garbage will be picked up on Wednesday.
- Regular schedule resumes on Thursday.
The City Auditor will draw each candidate(s) names(s) for position on the ballot for the 2020 election.
To minimize group size and contact, as recommended by state and federal government officials due to COVID-19 and as allowed in ND Executive Order 2020-16, this will be televised on CSI Channel 68.
Office & Transfer Station Closings:
- Public Works, City Hall & Transfer Station will be closed beginning Friday, April 10 at 12 Noon.
- Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday, April 11.
Garbage Schedule: Week of April 6
- Friday’s garbage will be picked up by 12 Noon on Friday.
