The City Attorney represents the City of Valley City. In this capacity, he does not represent individual citizens of Valley City with issues they might have relative to the city. Rather, he acts on behalf of the city and city officials providing advice to the City Commission and city departments.
In addition, the City Attorney serves as the City Prosecutor who represents the city in court relative to violations of city ordinances.
